Job Title: Data Engineer

Location: Lagos 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Data Engineer will be responsible for building and optimizing the data pipeline architecture, data flow, and data collection for Hydrogen.
  • The Data Engineer is responsible for using data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action.
  • The Data Engineer will support the technology, product, sales, marketing, and leadership teams of Hydrogen with insights gained from data analysis.

Requirements

  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • Statistical & Machine Learning Competence: Strong understanding of advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques, including regression analysis, clustering, and neural networks.
  • Professional Attributes: Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, and a passion for contributing to HYDROGEN’s vision of becoming a world-class financial supermarket.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with data warehousing, SQL, and big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Scala, or HDInsight.
  • Analytical Expertise: Proven ability to manipulate, process, and derive insights from large and complex datasets using business intelligence and analytical tools such as Tableau, SAS, and SQL.
