Job Description

• Overseeing planned / corrective and predictive maintenance on all electrical machines;
• Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus and ensuring minimum downtown;
• Installing electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems;
• Installing safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.);
• Preventing breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.;
• Assessing need of spare parts and following up on the provision;
• Inspection of PLC’s operation and troubleshooting where needed;
• Ensuring that tools & parts are well kept & managed at all times;
• Ensuring that the proper and standard operational procedure are strictly adhered to;
• Observing good housekeeping and adhering strictly to safety rules and procedures;
• Executing plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systems;
• Undertaking any other tasks or duties as required by your line manager

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering;
• Minimum of 10 years cognate experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment;
• Demonstrable ability in reading electrical drawings and blueprints;
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines;
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability;
• Must be residing or willing to relocate to Odighi Community in Edo State.
• Ability to handle or manage team;
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI etc. will be an added advantage;
