Job Title: Team Member, Fintech Aggregation

Location: Nigeria

Job Objective(s)

  • Continuous analysis of in-house customer data to target merchants that will significantly increase transaction value, volume and income. A digital first approach, the target for this vertical are the fintechs, aggregators, PSSP and other IT related companies that seek to partner with banks to provide services to the general public
  • Direct Marketing / Sales of collection platforms (UBA VAS, On-Us Card Routing Platform, APIs, Paydirect , XpressPay, Remita, eTranzact etc.) with the view of on-boarding merchants within the assigned merchant verticals

Minimum Education Qualifications

  • Minimum of a First Degree in Arts, Social Sciences, Core Sciences, Administration or Info-tech related field.

Previous Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years banking experience in digital collection platform management and sales with a focus on Public Sector and related verticals for signup and activation.

Skills Required:

  • Strong customer engagement, service and support focus with a desire to achieve set business goals
  • Ability to effectively manage integration processes with merchant website/ERP
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Knowledge:

Job Title: Team Lead, Corporate Payment

Location: Nigeria

Job Objective(s)

  • Ensuring that the major corporate customers of the bank are profiled on and use our automated payment platforms (especially on Corporate Internet Banking platforms, via our API services, Host to host connections etc.)
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer issues encountered during onboarding and transaction processing
  • Ensure that transaction value and volume is continuously increasing across platforms in order to increase transaction fees & revenue
  • Market, Sell, Present, Deploy and support UBA Automated Payment Systems and other e-payment products
  • Work with the bank’s business units to migrate customers from conventional banking practices to the adoption of e-channels. This involves the selling-deployment-training-live activation process
  • Receive requests from customers and account officers on customized solutions and work with Business Analysis & Application Development teams (in CIO and CDO organization) to deliver same to the customer
  • Work with Technology (based on customer feedback and identified needs) to enhance the banks automated payment platforms/services
  • Continuous training of account officers as first escalation level for resolution of issues
  • Proffer solutions to customers on issues arising from the use of the automated platforms

Job Title: SME Credit Underwriter

Location: Nigeria

Job Objective(s)

  • Ensures all SME loan requests are reviewed and analysed in line with the bank’s risk acceptance criteria approved for the product and credit policy
  • Ensures SME loan requests comply with the bank’s empowerment framework
  • Ensures that SME loan requests complies with extant regulatory guidelines and are presented in the bank’s prescribed format and standards
  • Ensures SME transactions with policy exceptions and those that falls in the bank’s exclusion list are promptly escalated to the appropriate approving authority for necessary approval or decline decisions to be made
  • Ensures all pre-approval documentations are in place on submitted SME loan requests
  • Ensures all terms, conditions and transaction dynamics of SME Product papers are complied with during loan review and analysis
  • Ensures credit checks are conducted on all credit requests
  • Implement the bank’s credit operational processes, systems and practices that will guarantee low delinquency levels on the bank’s SME portfolio during loan review and analysis
  • Any other duty as assigned by management.

Minimum Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or another field with a strong quantitative and analytic focus.
  • Post-graduate degree in related field or professional qualification preferred

Previous Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years banking experience in SME loan requests are reviewed and analysed in line with the bank’s risk acceptance criteria approved for the product and credit policy.

Job Title: Consumer Credit Monitoring

Location: Nigeria

Job Objective(s)

  • Undertake post-disbursement review of accounts, inflow monitoring review and identify early warning signs
  • Follow up on expired and over-line facilities
  • Ensure firm follow up on the customer’s employer once default is observed
  • Ensure compliance with the bank’s policy on collateral and valuation as applicable
  • Ensure the borrower has registered the required insurance policy in favour of the Bank and is regularly paying the premiums
  • Carry out snap checks on branches on various credit related issues
  • Monitor transaction dynamics and performance of retail risk assets and promptly recommend appropriate action to Management
  • Carry out and report detailed review of retail Bank wide risk assets portfolio for Nigeria and Africa

Job Title: Team Lead, Consumer Collection and Recoveries Head

Location: Nigeria

Job Objective(s)

  • Coordinates collection and recovery activities of the entire unit end to end
  • Provide initiatives for sales leads/penetration
  • Overseeing bottom-line metrics, including detailed strategic analysis, forecasting, and account placement
  • Minimise Loss resulting from non payment of loan. Loss forecasting and reports will be provided by the collection MIS unit
  • Supervision of the daily activities of direct reports
  • Initiate the formation and review of collection strategy manual and queuing criteria on a quarterly basis or as business requires
  • Initiate a review of the Collections and Recovery Procedures
  • Review net flows and collector productivity by bucket for capacity planning and for training needs
