English Teacher at Montessori Lighthouse International School

Montessori Lighthouse International School was established in September 2013 and it’s located in Port Harcourt GRA Phase II. It is a school with strong Christian Ethos. We provide the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Montessori curriculum in a friendly, safe and well stimulating environment. The school caters from ages 3 months to 4 years old in the Nursery section, 5 to 11 years in Primary School section and 11 years to 14 years in our Junior Secondary section. We understand that the first 5 years of a child’s life is critical because it has the biggest impact on how the child's brain develops.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: English Teacher

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach English Lessons for a balanced program of learning from the British National and Nigerian curricula that meets the students' group and individual needs.
• The teacher creates an environment that demonstrates rapport with, respect and kindness to all students as well as between students.
• Responsible for communication that supports an understanding of the school's program, develops positive relationships within the school community which includes parents, and projects the privacy and confidentiality of each student and family.
• Provides a classroom with the Nigerian and British curricular/instructional program that supports the individual needs and development of the children.
• The teacher models and teaches conflict resolution and problem-solving strategies in the classroom.
• Completes and maintains all records, reports, evaluations, and inventories of student records and tests.

Requirements

• B.Ed minimum qualification
• Must be committed and passionate about bringing the best out of all students.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Minimum of 2 years experience

Salary Range
N50,000 - N100,000 / month.
