Job Title: Facilitator - Public Sector Networking & Lobbying

Location: Kado, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Contract

Job Description

  • The Facilitator will design and deliver high-quality training sessions on Public Sector Networking & Lobbying, ensuring participants gain the knowledge, tools, and practical skills required to navigate governmental structures, build strategic relationships, and influence public policy effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop training modules, lesson plans, and session materials.
  • Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions (physical or virtual).
  • Support AIBT in evaluating the effectiveness of the training.
  • Submit post-training reports and recommendations for program improvement.
  • Provide real-life case studies, practical exercises, and group activities.
  • Assess participants’ learning and provide constructive feedback.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong networking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven facilitation and adult-learning methodology skills.
  • Strong knowledge of government processes, public policy, and legislative engagement.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse learners.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master's degree or PhD in Public Administration, Political Science, Law, Policy Studies, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree or professional certification in governance, policy, or public affairs is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5–7 years’ practical experience in government relations, legislative affairs, policy advocacy, or lobbying.
  • Prior experience training or facilitating workshops for public sector professionals is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated track record of stakeholder engagement within the Nigerian public sector.

Other Requirements:

  • Availability for scheduled training dates (physical or virtual).
  • Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
  • Strong professional reputation and ethical conduct.
  • Ability to travel for training assignments (where necessary).

Remuneration

  • Competitive and commensurate with experience.
  • Paid per training session or contract terms as mutually agreed.
  • Additional benefits may apply based on program duration.
