China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) is one of China’s leading construction companies that specializes in civil engineering construction ranging from railway to roads and buildings. China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) Nigeria Limited, Minna Branch is currently working in Minna, on the project titled (Rehabilitation / Reconstruction of Minna Township Roads, Phase I&II belonging to the Niger State Government).

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Experienced Quantity Surveyor

Location: Minna, Niger
Job Type: full-time

Job Responsibilities

• According to the project drawings and technical specifications, calculate the cost of materials, labor, equipment and other expenses (such as the cost of local materials such as steel, cement, sand and gravel in the construction project).
• Optimize resource allocation and reduce waste (e.g. avoid theft or misuse of materials such as cement and steel).
• Handling of construction claims (e.g. additional costs due to late payment by the owner or changes in government policies).
• Adjust your budget to account for inflation in Nigeria, exchange rate fluctuations (e.g., the impact of the US dollar against the naira), and supply chain issues.
• Preparation of tender documents to assist companies in bidding for government or private projects.

Qualifications

• More than 3 years of experience as a quantity surveyor, proficient in computer related software.
• Negotiate prices for optimal contract terms (e.g. avoid losses due to currency devaluation).
• Holders of relevant skills certificates of quantity surveyor are preferred.
• Communicate effectively with owners, contractors, and government officials.

Salary
Negotiable and based on experience and skill set.
