Job Title: Fabric Store Clerk / Accountant

Location: Aba, Abia
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description:

• We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented fabric store clerk/accountant to join our team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and assisting customers with their fabric selections.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and assist them with fabric selection
• Provide customers with information about fabric types, prices, and availability
• Cut fabric according to customer specifications
• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely manner
• Assist in merchandising and promoting new products
• Maintain accurate financial records, including cash handling, deposits, and daily sales reports
• Reconcile daily sales reports with cash and credit card receipts
• Prepare and submit financial reports to management
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing store layout
• Restock shelves and maintain adequate inventory levels
• Ensure that the store is clean and tidy at all times

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, but not required
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• 2 - 4 years work experience.
• Prior experience in a retail environment and/or accounting is preferred
• Knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software is preferred, but not required

Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of fabrics and the textile industry is preferred, but not required
• Basic math skills for measuring and cutting fabrics
• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Other Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Flexibility to work at multiple locations if required
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed

Remuneration
N20,000 - N30,000 Salary Monthly.
