Nigachem Nigeria Limited is a manufacturing company, incorporated in 1987 as a private company with Certificate of Incorporation No. 97718. The Company Memorandum and Articles of Association and subsequent licences permit the Company to engage in Importation, marketing and sales of Commercial or Civil Explosives and related products like Ammonium Nitrate, Detonating Cord, Electric Detonators, Non-Electric Detonators (Nonel), etc. We manufacture Emulsion type of Explosives and our brand is called Superpower. The emulsion type of Explosives is very safe, unlike other types because they only detonate upon introduction of a suitable initiation stimulus.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Factory Electrician

Location: Abeokuta, Ogun

Job Specification and Description

  • Planning of layouts and installations of electrical factory facilities wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus as required in the standard operating procedures.
  • Perform effective troubleshooting on electrical system, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment and repairs.
  • Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning of equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
  • Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
  • Maintain the required and current license to meet governmental regulations.
  • Manufacturing company background is required.
  • Prevent breakdown of electrical systems, equipment by routinely and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits, etc.
  • Assemble, install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights and wiring in compliance with the standard operating procedures.

Requirements and Skills

  • Diploma in relevant vocational or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician
  • Proven 3 – 5 years experience as an electrician
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Excellent physical condition and flexibility to long and night shifts
  • Valid license to practice profession.
  • Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
  • Demonstrate ability to use electrical and hand tools (Voltmeter, ohmmeters etc)
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines.

Salary
N70,000 monthly, Gross.
