Job Title: Geologist

Location: Kama-Otto, Nasarawa

Job Overview

• We are seeking a skilled Geologists to contribute to our ongoing exploration and mining projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Identify and distinguish different ore bodies within the mining site.
• Assess and interpret the strength of mineralization in various sections of the ore body.
• Conduct systematic sampling in sections to evaluate ore quality and distribution.
• Perform field geological surveys to support mining and exploration projects.
• Skillfully use geological survey instruments and equipment to collect, analyze, and test geological samples.
• Interpret and present geological data to guide mining operations and exploration efforts.
• Demonstrate strong management skills, ensuring effective coordination of field teams and resources.
• Uphold strict safety standards in all geological activities, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
• Compile and draw detailed geological sketches, written records, and raw data obtained through geological observations.
• Document findings from natural outcrops and various prospecting projects, including wells, pits, and trenches.
• Maintain accurate and thorough records to support ongoing mining and exploration activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in the mining industry, with a focus on geological survey work.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect and interpret geological data.
• Excellent management skills with a keen awareness of safety protocols.
• Ability to work in challenging field conditions and remote locations.
• Proficiency in identifying ore bodies and analyzing mineralization strength.
• Experience in compiling and drawing geological documents and sketches.
• Skilled in the use of geological survey instruments and equipment.

Salary
N150,000 - N180,000 per month.
