The Candel FZE is a manufacturing company engaged in the development, production, marketing and distribution of agrochemicals, specialised fertilisers, seeds and allied products in Nigeria. It is located in the Lekki Free Zone, Ibeju- Lekki, Lagos; near Dangote Refinery.

Job Description

• We are seeking highly motivated Trainee Agric/Production Engineering Supervisors to join our dynamic manufacturing team.
• This critical role will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing production processes, ensuring the efficient and safe manufacturingof our agrochemical products, and leading a team of dedicated production personnel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
• Enforce safety and hygiene regulations on the productionfloor; promote a safe working environment.
• Train new employees and upskill existing team members on production procedures and company standards.
• Track production metrics such as output, downtime, and wastage; prepare reports for management.
• Monitor inventory of raw materials and supplies required for production and liaise with the store or procurement team.
• Handle discipline, timekeeping, and attendance matters in accordance with company policy.
• Monitor staff performance, provide direction, and ensure team adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure that machines, tools, and equipments are functioning properly and request maintenance when needed.
• Collaborate with planning, quality control, maintenance, and logistics departments to optimize workflow and resolve production issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in either Agric or Production Engineering with a minimum passing grade of Second Class honours, Upper Division from a Nigerian university.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO standards, and relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• May be required to work shifts, weekends, or public holidays, depending on production schedules.
• Our Ideal candidate should not be more than 28 years old, should be a highly creative individual with the ability to develop innovative solutions to our problems.
• Should also have the ability to communicate technical ideas in a clear manner, both visually and verbally.
