Nigerian Eagle Flour Mills Limited (NEFM) was incorporated in November 1979 to manufacture and market Flour and allied products like Semolina and Bran. The factory began commercial production in October 1982 with one mill.

The products of the company were well accepted by consumers, and soon, demand outstripped the installed capacity at the mill. To meet up with the increase in demand for Eagle products, the owners at that time embarked on an expansion program which led to the introduction of a second mill – ‘Mill B,’ in February 1987 at an increased capacity of 700 tons and a total workforce of about 220. Today, NEFM remains BAKERS’ NO 1 CHOICE for wheat flour and associated products in Oyo state and beyond in line with FMN’s brand promise to always deliver quality that consumers can trust.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Health Safety and Environment Supervisor

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Purpose

• To assist in managing & coordinating of structured systems for the implementation of ISO 45001 practices for the safety health and environment of the employees and factory.

The Job

• Assist the safety Manger in analysis of hazards and coordinate accidents and incidents investigation to build corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Carrying out risk assessments and considering how risks could be reduced.
• Recording of incidents (incl. near miss, unsafe act and condition) as well as accidents and producing KPI statistics.
• Ensure compliance with Company’s safety, health and environment rules and procedures, including.
• regulatory requirements and aim at implementing best practices.
• Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards including PPE concept revision and monitoring.
• Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and creating weekly audit reports with follow up.
• Keeping records of inspection findings and producing reports that suggest improvements.

Requirements
Qualifications:

• Minimum requirement: HND/B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences or Engineering.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years cognate experience in FMCG/ Oil & Gas.
• NEBOSH/HSE professional Certificate would be an added advantage.

The Person Must:

• Have a solid understanding of workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills to promote a safety-conscious culture.
• Be proactive in identifying hazards and implementing corrective and preventive measures.
• Possess relevant HSE certifications (such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
• Be able to conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations effectively.
