We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Health, Safety & Environmental Systems Officer

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Purpose

  • To support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of HSE systems across business verticals.
  • The role focuses on data accuracy, system usage, compliance tracking, training coordination, and assisting in digital HSE initiatives under the guidance of the HSE Systems Manager.

The Job

  • Assist in deploying and maintaining HSE digital tools (dashboards, incident tracking, automated reporting).
  • Coordinate and support HSE training programs, including scheduling, logistics, attendance tracking, and feedback collection.
  • Maintain training records and assist in evaluating training effectiveness.
  • Liaise with BU HSE Leads and site teams to ensure consistent system usage and reporting.
  • Support emergency preparedness documentation and risk assessment activities.
  • Support integration of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other standards into operational processes.
  • Conduct routine data validation, system audits, and compliance checks.
  • Generate HSE performance reports and analytics for review by senior HSE leadership.
  • Participate in HSE audits, inspections, and investigations.

Requirements

  • Qualification: B.Sc./HND in Environmental Science or  Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in similar role.

The Person Must:

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have demonstrated analytical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Have strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards and stakeholders’ management abilities.
  • Be able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
