Job Title: Managing Director

Role Overview

  • Currently, we are in search of an innovative and forward-thinking Managing Director who can steer our microfinance bank towards even greater achievements.
  • As the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, leadership, and management of the microfinance bank.
  • You will drive growth and expansion, ensure operational efficiency, maintain regulatory compliance, and lead a diverse team to achieve the bank's mission and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan that aligns with the bank's vision, mission, and values.
  • Identify growth opportunities and expansion strategies to increase the bank's market presence and impact.

Financial Management:

  • Oversee financial performance, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Implement effective risk management strategies and maintain a strong credit quality portfolio.
  • Monitor key financial indicators and take proactive measures to address any deviations.

Operational Excellence:

  • Streamline operational processes to enhance efficiency, customer experience, and service delivery.
  • Maintain a robust internal control framework and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Team Leadership:

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, leading and inspiring a diverse team of professionals.
  • Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to ensure the team's continuous growth.

Customer Engagement:

  • Enhance customer relationships and ensure the bank's products and services are aligned with customer needs.
  • Drive customer retention and satisfaction by promoting excellent service quality.

Market Expansion:

  • Identify potential markets and segments for expansion, conducting market research and feasibility studies.
  • Develop and execute market entry strategies to successfully launch new branches or units.

Technology and Innovation:

  • Stay abreast of technological advancements in the financial sector and leverage innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance the bank's competitive advantage.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and maintain strong relationships to stay updated on changes and requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • A Certified Microfinance Banker
  • 9 years of progressive experience in the microfinance or financial services industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change and navigate a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology and digital tools for business enhancement.
  • Strong understanding of microfinance operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading teams and driving growth in a financial institution.

Salary
N200,000 - N1,000,000 / month.
