Mechanical Engineer in a Start-up Engineering Company (Remote)

Our client, a start-up engineering company is recruiting for the following position:

Location: Remote (work from anywhere in Nigeria)

Job Description

Design, detailed model and drawing for a single stage centrifugal radial compressor for compressing air with the following requirements:

1. Pressure ratio 5.2 to 1
2. Flow rate 5.5 kg/s
3. Fluid to compress: air

Provide comprehensive details including but not limited to:

• Compressor map
• Model and detailed drawing to be used for manufacture
• Polytropic efficiency and isentropic efficiencies
• Required driving power and torque
• Total required driving power (power + losses)
• Fluid velocities (absolute and relative)
• Fluid velocity components and direction at inlet and exit
• Modes (first, second and third)
• Shaft Speed
• Tip speed
• Blade angle
• Fluid swirl angle
• Specify impeller casing clearance
• FEA analysis (bonus)
• CFD analysis (bonus)
• Factor of safety 2 to 2.5

Requirements

• 5 or more years expierience
• Candidate's possession of required software will be an advantage

Remuneration
Payment will be on contract basis based on agreement with candidates and it will be in milestones.
