Job Description

  • We are currently inviting applications for the position of Mechanical Plant Technician to be based at our Ewekoro site in Ogun State, Nigeria.
  • This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our plant during assigned shifts, in alignment with company policies, procedures, and operational plans.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to deliver results in accordance with defined standards and guidelines, contributing directly to the plant’s performance and reliability.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate the plant during the shift according to company policies, procedures and operation profile/plan.
  • Recondition, overhaul and sub-assembly engine and auxiliary equipment components.
  • Carry out inspections of all mechanical and pneumatic equipment and take corrective actions when needed.
  • Assist Maintenance Supervisor as required.
  • Coach and mentor other technicians and general labor.
  •  Ensure that the working area, machines, auxiliary equipment's and tools are kept in good and clean condition. Create work reports according to guidelines.
  • Comply with all safety regulations (including isolation, lock out and tag out) and perform emergency procedures in order to protect personnel and equipment in case of damage or failure of safety devices.

Education & Experience

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) or Degree in Engineering (B.Eng.) or Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Multi-Engine Wartsila Gas / HFO Engine
