Job Title: Lecturer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

This role is responsible for coordinating Induction and Lectures for students throughout the session. This role will serve as mentor for students as well.

Job Responsibilities

Develop engaging and current case studies for students throughout the session, including choosing the reading material, creating assignments and arranging a syllabus.
Develop curriculum for the courses.
Coordinate external Lecturers for students throughout the session.
Remain current in the field of study through regular research, attendance at conferences and publishing in peer-reviewed journals and similar places.
Conduct office hours on a regular basis to provide time for students to come and talk with you about their grades, assignments and other issues.
Develop and maintain students’ databases.
Mentor students throughout the sessions, and assist them in their pursuit of their degree, such as providing academic and career advice.
Review assignments and ensure that all students remain in compliance with the school’s/OTHM’s policy on academic integrity, including checking for any cheating and/or plagiarism.
Develop strong relationships with colleagues within the department and throughout the institution for an enhanced learning environment that values interdisciplinary study.
Participate in professional and collegiate organizations, including as a committee member, to remain abreast of all emerging developments.

Job Skills & Qualifications Required

MBA in a relevant field
5-7 years’ experience lecturing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Power Point
Experience of delivering high quality customer services, with the demonstration of a strong understanding of how to respond to differing stakeholders’ needs.
Experience of developing good working relationships (e.g. partnerships) with colleagues from different parts of a company, showing understanding of the interdependencies that affect the work of other staff/teams in the organization.
Must be able to develop curriculum based on school policy.

Ability to prioritise workloads in the face of conflicting demands, using own judgment to ensure the work is completed to time and deadline.
Evidence of ability to provide a high level of all of the following: professional judgment, confidentiality, diplomacy, cultural awareness and sensitivity, when liaising with staff, students and other key stakeholders.
The postholder must have an appreciation and general understanding of the Data Protection Act, Safeguarding legislation, the Equality Act and Codes of Ethics for confidentiality.

Job Title: Curriculum Developer

Our client is currently looking for an experienced, creative curriculum developer to create and revise education curriculum for multiple content areas.
This role includes in-person meetings with subject matter experts (SMEs). Your responsibilities as a curriculum developer involve all aspects of instruction, from the textbooks to the teaching methods.
You are also involved in developing training programs, whether working with a group or one-on-one to teach instructional techniques. That makes excellent interpersonal skills essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and/or other technical experts to create curriculum with the following components:
- - Course outlines
  - Course syllabi
  - Lesson plans
  - Classroom activities
  - PowerPoint presentations
  - Multimedia supplemental materials such as podcasts, webinars, etc.
Collaborate with and take direction from program manager, other curriculum developers, subject matter experts and instructors
Update training, instructional, and curriculum materials on a consistent basis
Interview subject matter experts or conduct other research to develop instructional content
Participate and facilitate as directed curriculum review and subject matter advisory meetings, incorporating facilitation tools such as DACUM
Differentiate instructional content or delivery methods for students and different classroom environments levels or types of learners
Make recommendations regarding course design, technology, and instruction delivery options
Evaluate and revise training materials such as texts, outlines, and handouts
Conduct needs assessments and strategic learning assessments to develop the basis for curriculum development or to update curricula
Recommend instructional methods such as individual or group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises and role-playing appropriate for content and learner characteristics
Analyze student performance data to determine effectiveness of instructional systems, courses, or instructional materials
Assess effectiveness and efficiency of instruction according to ease of instructional technology use and student learning, knowledge transfer, and satisfaction
Define instructional, learning, or performance objectives
Develop measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction or training interventions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related discipline required
MBA is a compulsory requirement
4-6 years’ experience developing curriculum
Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in curriculum design, adult learning principles, and effective assessment strategies
Knowledge of digital learning tools and the ability to select teaching methods appropriate for industry and audience
Experience working with subject matter experts (SME) to develop accurate, relevant content, including demonstrated facilitation skills
Strong written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to receive and incorporate feedback into course material from program leads, subject matter experts, students, and instructors
Knowledge of copyright and trademark rules for writing and delivering content and graphics
Excellent computer skills including experience with computer-based training software and current e-Learning tools and Management Systems, Adobe Illustrator, etc. as well as Microsoft Office products
Strong ability to manage, prioritize, and organize multiple tasks
Ability to reliably meet project deadlines
Proactive, collaborative, and flexible.

Job Title: Software Programmer

The job holder will be responsible for the development, design and implementation of new or modified software products or ongoing business projects. Typically sitting within the IT team of, he will be involved in liaising with the Business Analysts and Development Managers to ensure software projects meet requirements.
