Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in the Human Resources department by ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, including calculating wages and salaries, managing deductions, and maintaining payroll records, while adhering to payroll laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Utilize various channels such as job boards, social media, networking, and employee referrals to attract talent.
Review resumes and applications to screen and shortlist candidates.
Schedule interviews and assessments, and communicate with candidates regarding interview details.
Conducting exit interviews and collecting feedback from departing employees.
Ensuring a smooth off-boarding process.
Managing employee promotions, transfers, and job rotations.
Supporting career development initiatives.
Assist in the dissemination and communication of HR policies and procedures to employees
Generate weekly reports and metrics related to recruitment performance.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve recruitment strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate information and recruitment activities in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Check candidate references and conduct background checks.
Carry out the on-boarding process for new hires, including document collection and orientation coordination.
Maintain organized and up-to-date employee records, both in physical and digital formats.
Prepare and distribute offer letters, employment contracts, and other recruitment-related documents.
Other duties as directed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or any other related field.
Prior experience of three or more years in the payroll field.
Excellent communication, time-management and interpersonal skills.
Must possess data analytical skills.
Flexibility to different business needs with detail-oriented skills to review large data sets accurately.
Hands-on experience in handling payroll.
Detail-oriented and able to maintain data accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is a must.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of local laws and regulations.
A problem solver with a curious mindset and quick decision-making ability.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, resource and time-constrained environment.
Excel in a confidential work environment.
