We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Planning Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Technology Operations:

• Oversee day-to-day technology operations, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our systems.
• Create frameworks and procedures for effective network element monitoring.
• Implement a system for log collection, management, and analysis.

Network Integration/Capacity Planning:

• Oversee design, set up, and configure complex switching environments.
• Forecast and plan core network expansion based on sales forecasting and usage extrapolation.

Network Optimization and Traffic Engineering:

• Implement automatic failover in case of link failures.
• Identify and classify traffic flows to relieve congestion and enhance user experience.
• Ensure optimal IP transit routes.

Network Security Management:

• Implement industry best practices for core device security.
• Address Spam and Public IP blacklists, ensuring customer awareness.

Network Operations:

• Supervise management and maintenance of core servers.
• Efficiently use backhaul network bandwidth and implement automatic failover of links.
• Develop preventive maintenance procedures to increase core services' availability.
• Supervise the Data Center for an orderly and secure environment.

Network Vendor Management:

• Liaise with vendors to ensure services operate at proper function and performance.

Network Documentation & Configuration Management:

• Maintain current IP Address registratin information.
• Implement network documentation templates, standards, and management procedures.
• Keep up-to-date network documentation and version/change history.

Technical Escalation/ Reporting:

• Provide level 3 network support for all network issues.
• Provide weekly reports on core networks

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 0-5 years experience.
