Job Title: Procurement Officer

Description 

• Are you skilled in procurement and keen on supporting operational efficiency? A fast-rising engineering firm in Lagos is looking for a Procurement Officer to manage the procurement process, from sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers that meet quality, cost, and reliability standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet procurement needs and implement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with budget and procurement policies, and track key metrics.
• Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to enhance procurement processes.
• Secure favorable terms with suppliers, draft and review procurement documents.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers through regular communication and performance evaluations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and relevant regulations.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Proven experience in procurement or a similar role.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
