Job Title: Procurement Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Overseeing and supervising employees and all activities of the procurement unit.
• Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
• Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures.
• Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
• Maintaining accurate purchase orders, invoices, and pricing records.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Review quality of purchased products.
• Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.
• Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
• Submit reports to the COO as and when due.
• Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
• Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
• Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
• Preparing budgets, cost analysis, and reports.
• Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.
• Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing on behalf of the company.
• Any other assignment as instructed by the COO.

Requirements

• B.Sc in Supply Chain Management or any related discipline with a minimum of 2.1 degree
• At least 5 years experience in a similar role.
• Applicants must possess good negotiation and bargaining skills.
• Applicant should be male, within the ages of 28-40years.
• Applicant must reside in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
• Applicants must be proactive and able to work under pressure.
• Applicants must be willing to travel outside the state.
• Applicants must have good knowledge of supply chain management and inventory management.
• Applicants must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Applicants should have good planning and organization skills.

Remuneration
Salary for this role is within the range of N75,000 - N100,000 monthly.
