Main Purpose of Job

  • Manage overall section performance for processing and dispatch of completed applications;
  • Ensure vignette management and control processes are in place and secure to meet daily operational demands;
  • Provide support to the regional Supplier Relationship & Services team (20%). Assist relationship management through performance monitoring, dealing with internal correspondence, daily appointment management and undertaking monthly performance analysis;
  • Provide support to the Integrity Manager Network (20%). Completion of weekly reporting to the Regional Manager and other Integrity lead managers, undertake integrity and compliance visits to assure appropriate UKVI security procedures are being properly adhered to, and draft monthly performance analysis;

Roles and Responsibilities

  • What will the jobholder be expected to achieve?:
  • Undertake daily vignette custodianship in the UKVI office;
  • Manage logistics for UKVI staff and guests: Arrange hotel booking, flights and transport arrangements for official travel in and out of Lagos
  • Direct managing of at least three staff and responsibility for UKVI team. Opening and maintaining staff appraisals throughout the reporting year; delivering completed appraisal and MTRs to schedule. Counter-signing where appropriate;
  • Develop and agree objectives to support an evolving business model and team tasks;
  • Deal with operational correspondence on a daily basis; ensure high profile and sensitive cases are nursed through stages of processing, address and resolve complaints, and manage key stakeholder relationships;
  • Manage the processing, security and integrity of the passport bank, and assure monthly sweep of unresolved cases;
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties at special request to support British Deputy High Commission and UKVI business delivery

Job Requirements
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Employment will be subject to obtaining the appropriate security clearance. Please note that only nationals of UK, EU countries, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand are likely to meet this requirement
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Able to establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships
  • High level of organisational and coordination skills, including the need to prioritise, manage performance, and proactively identify and resolve problems
  • Excellent standard of written/spoken English

Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience  

  • Previous experience working in an office based environment, internationally, or in Visa Section or official Government office

Required competencies:

  • Changing and Improving, Making Effective Decisions, Collaborating and Partnering, Managing a Quality Service

Salary  
N 573,296.78 / Month.
