Orodata Science is a Civic Technology Organization simplifying and democratizing public data by leveraging data visualization, infographics for storytelling, and open data methodologies to foster ease of access to information, drive accountability, and improve transparency.Our mission is to make the world a better place by continuously improving access to information, data literacy, and promoting efficient use of data to break barriers, reduce inequality and improve systems.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Program Officer

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project staff and technical experts to provide training, and lead the implementation of project activities.
• Support the Executive Director in all aspects of program implementation to ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables.
• Lead the development and implementation of deliverables with project partners.
• Contribute to project monitoring and evaluation and analyze results to inform project implementation.
• Supervise the deliverables of internal staff and consultants on projects.

Requirements

• Applicants must have at least 3 years of work experience in media or media development and relevant qualifications
• Ability to lead, work independently and as a team member with the ability to take initiative, meet deadlines, ensure other team members meet deadlines, and be flexible.
• Proven experience in data journalism, data literacy capacity building, and expert use of data analysis and visualization software(s): Flourish Studio, Data Studio, Data Wrapper, Power BI, and Tableau.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize.
