Hope and Rural Aid Foundation (HARAF) is a National Non-Profit organization functioning since 2011 but was officially registered under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of the Federal Government of Nigeria in the year 2016 with registration number RN: CAC/IT/:85536. Hope and Rural Aid Foundation currently has three field and operational offices in Adamawa, Maiduguri and Yobe states of Nigeria. The organisation works in the Food Security and Livelihood, Protection (Child Protection/Gender based violence), Education and Shelter/ (Camp Coordination and Camp Management) thematic areas.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Assistant (SRHR)

Location: Yola, Adamawa

About the Job

• The Program Assistant (SRHR) will provide administrative, programmatic, and logistical support to SRHR projects.
• This includes assisting in planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of sexual and reproductive health intervention activities, supporting community engagement, ensuring documentation, and working closely with beneficiaries, partners, and stakeholders to strengthen access to quality SRHR services.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of SRHR program activities at community and facility levels.
• Assist in preparation of regular reporting and field monitoring visits that are grounded on evidence-based strategies for identifying progress made and challenges encountered.
• Support the receiving, storage and distribution of non-medical supplies key in SRHR programming.
• Assist in mobilizing and engaging adolescents, youth, women, and men in SRHR awareness and outreach campaigns.
•  Assist with the formulation and tracking of the implementation of work plans and budget expenditures for the SRHR Unit.
• Assist with administrative
• Support in developing IEC (Information, Education, Communication) materials on SRHR.
• Liaise with community leaders, health workers, and other partners to strengthen SRHR interventions.
• Ensure safeguarding, gender equity, and inclusion are mainstreamed into all SRHR activities.
• Provide administrative and logistical support for trainings, workshops, and community dialogues.
• Work with program staff to ensure timely documentation, data collection, and reporting of SRHR activities.
• A Prepare basic SRHR-related correspondence in line with the HARAF rules and regulations.

Qualification / Professional Competencies

• Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Gender Studies, or a related field.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in program design and implementation, in a similar role, will be an added advantage.
• High level of computer literacy
• Demonstrate willingness to work in a team.
• Fluency in English and Hausa is relevant to the project location.
• Proven knowledge and experience in developing and implementing community mobilization projects
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, to remain flexible to a changing environment, and to make decisions independently
