Job Title: Project Engineer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the assigned projects
  • Develop project plans
  • Prepare cost estimates, and perform engineering calculations
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC, policies, performance standards, and specifications
  • Review, understand, and interpret Contracts
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with the project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
  • Establishing the specifications for the equipment needed for the project
  • Developing a framework for collecting and evaluating data about the project
  • Meeting with and interpreting clients’ needs and requirements on the ground and representing their interests
  • Search out loopholes in existing contracts and innovate ways to mitigate them
  • Apply Contract mitigative actions on our Contractors
  • Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
  • Performing quality control measures on budgets, plans, and schedules, including reporting regularly on the status of the project
  • Implementing the necessary corrective actions after reviewing the engineering tasks


  • B.Sc in Engineering or related field
  • 4 to 6 years experience
  • Project planning skills, including proven ability in creating plans, and schedules, and executing them
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry preferred
  • Ability to interface with clients and contractors.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Project management skills including the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and teams
  • Project engineering skills including the ability to oversee all technical aspects of a project
