Efficacy Construction Company is a Nigerian-based Building Construction, Civil Engineering and Project Management Company that specializes in all Building Construction, Civil Engineering and Project Management Works.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Purchasing Manager

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Ensures the company obtains quality products for competitive prices in a timely fashion
• Plays an integral role in ensuring a company sticks to budgets and operates profitably, and secures the best deals for products and services.
• Build supplierscategory and market understanding through performance management, research and stakeholders briefings.
• Support reviewmeetings with all procurement staff to review compliance and implement improvements and best practices.
• Comform to the established sourcing and procurement processes that promotes transparency and integrity.
• Enhance supplier relationships to drive sourcing and supplier initiatives to meet or exceed product quality, service and deliver sustainable cost reductions while reducing or mitigating risk in procurement management.
• Prioritizes, eveluates, and manages procurement needs and opportunities
• Coordinateprocurement processes in collaboration with the Cost Manager
• Document all processes followed in procurement for references, audits and other third party reviews.
• Support the Procurement Manager in sustaining compliance and implement improvements and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration
• MBA is highly desired
• Purchasing-related certifications will be an added advantage
• 3 years and above experience in procurements.

Skills Requirements:

• Proven working experience as Purchasing Manager, Agent or Officer
• Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
• Working experience of vendor management software
• Ability to gather and analyse data and to work with figures
• Solid judgement along with decision making skills
• Strong leadership capabilities.
• Interest in market dynamics along with business sense
• A knack for negotiation and networking
