Job Title: Quality Control Officer

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

  • The Quality Control Officer is responsible for maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, taste consistency, and service delivery across the restaurant.
  • The role ensures that all meals, beverages, and processes meet the company’s quality benchmarks and comply with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect food preparation areas, storage facilities, and service stations to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
  • Monitor taste, presentation, and portion sizes of meals before service to ensure consistency.
  • Check the freshness, quality, and handling of raw ingredients upon delivery and during storage.
  • Train kitchen and service staff on food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
  • Address and investigate customer complaints related to food quality or service.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure suppliers meet agreed quality standards.
  • Suggest improvements to kitchen operations, menu execution, and service processes.
  • Ensure kitchen staff follow recipes, portion guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct routine audits on food safety practices (HACCP, hygiene checks, expiration control).
  • Maintain proper records of inspections, quality checks, and corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess an HND / BSc Degree with 3 years work experience.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and sensory evaluation skills (taste, smell, presentation).
  • Ability to identify problems quickly and enforce corrective actions.
  • Strong organizational skills for record-keeping and audits.
  • Team-oriented mindset, able to work with chefs, kitchen hands, and wait staff.
  • Good knowledge of food safety regulations (NAFDAC, HACCP, local health codes).
  • Excellent communication and training ability.

Salary
N300,000 monthly.
