Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in conjunction with the required departments to put in place operational activities prior to mobilization for projects and prepare the required EPC documents.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on architectural drawings, specifications, and other relevant information.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, including forecasting costs, monitoring expenses, and identifying potential cost overruns or savings opportunities
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to obtain competitive bids from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Evaluate bids and negotiate contracts to ensure optimal pricing and quality of materials and services.
  • Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may affect project costs and timelines. Develop mitigation strategies to minimize risks and ensure project success.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing cost management and construction practices.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and measurements of materials required for construction projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of quantities and cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality or functionality.
  • Implement effective cost control measures to track project expenses, monitor variances, and take corrective actions as needed to keep projects within budget.
  • Assess and manage changes to project scope, specifications, and schedules.
  • Evaluate the impact of changes on project costs and communicate effectively with stakeholders to minimize disruptions.
  • Handle other related job functions as may be assigned by the Project Control Manager or his designate.
