Job Title: Technical Recruiter

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos (Currently partly remote and partly physical)
Reporting Line: Group Head, Human Resources

Job Purpose

The responsibilities of this role include sourcing, screening and providing a shortlist of qualified candidates for various technical roles. Incumbent will also network online and offline with potential candidates to promote our employer brand, reduce our time-to-hire and ensure we attract the best tech talents. Ultimately, he/she will build a strong tech talent pipeline and help hire and retain skilled employees for our Technical positions.

Responsibilities

Develop recruitment strategies for the acquisition and retention of tech talents
Attract the attention of high-quality candidates
Adopt social recruiting strategies to relate with and attract top talents and build a pool of qualified candidates that can be accessed at all times as vacancies arise
Manage the technical recruitment process end to end
Adopt objective and equitable recruitment processes to ensure vacancies are filled quickly
Recruit potential applicants based on experience, skills and education
Develop a thorough and robust onboarding process that is unique to the technology industry and aligns with the company vision
Work closely with the technology department, increasingly in a consultancy role and assist line managers to understand talent needs
Develop technology job profiles and update job requirements on a regular basis
Conduct survey on pay and other remuneration packages adopted in the technology industry and advise the management accordingly
Display high sense of ownership of the recruitment process from sourcing to interviews through hiring and ensure the highest level of candidate experience.
Acts as a support HR generalist and support strategic HR initiatives

The Ideal Person
The Ideal Person for this role must have:

Minimum of 5 years experience as a Recruiter.
Proven work experience as a Technical Recruiter or Recruiter.
Experience in a recruitment consulting role is a plus.
Hands-on experience with various interview formats (e.g. Virtual or structured Interviews).
Technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain job requirements for Tech roles.
Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases.
Solid knowledge of contemporary hiring techniques (e.g. social recruiting etc).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of HR practices and labor legislation.

Job Title: Senior Laravel Developer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos + Partly Virtual
Reporting Line: Chief Technology Officer

About the Role

The incumbent will be responsible for developing, recording and maintaintng cutting edge web-based applications on portal plus premium service platforms.
He or she will build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the the entire dev team.

Responsibilities

Designing, building and maintaining scalable software systems that power our products and infrastructures.
Building and maintain high-performance APIs and backend systems
Write clean and maintainable code with good test coverage.
Implement new features in collaboration with our design team.
Optimize existing code with special attention to performance and maintainability.
Lead writing and maintaining the documentation of code and architecture.
Review other engineer’s code and guide architecture decisions.
Contribute creatively to the future product roadmap.
Working with engineers, product managers, designers to turn bring our product vision to life.

The Ideal Person
The Ideal Candidate must have;

Proficient knowledge of RDBMS (MySQL/MS SQL/PostgreSQL), database designing and query optimisation techniques
Proficient understanding of RESTful API development and 3rd party integrations
Good core knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, jQuery and Bootstrap framework.
Competency in Version Control with Git,Bitbucket or GitHub
Solid understanding of the various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Experience with unit and integration testing, and testing frameworks/libraries..
Be Creative, solution-driven and a customer-focused mindset.
Experience in micro-services development is a plus
Experince in developing a Payments or Fintech product(s).

Job Title: Senior Java Engineer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos + Virtual
Reporting Line: Chief Technology Officer

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code. The incumbent will deliver high quality code that complies with design specifications, meets security and Java / JEE best practices and contribute to all phases of software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Create the formal design documentation as required
Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle.
Translate requirements and use cases into functional applications
Develop code that complies with design specifications and meets security and Java/JEE best practices.
Design, develop and maintain back-end services with a focus on high availability, low latency and scalability.
Conduct code reviews, as requested, to comply with coding standards
Produce and maintain high-quality technical process documentation.

The Ideal Person
The Ideal candidate must have:

Minimum 5 years' of professional Java development experience
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies
Experience working with Hibernate, Oracle, and MySQL, PostgreSQL databases
Experience with creating, managing and consuming RESTful APIs
Experience working with Spring Framework
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Experience with, or understanding of CI/CD, AWS infrastructure services, Docker.
Familiarity with build tools such as Ant, Maven, and Gradle
Experience with Automated quality assurance testing, jMeter, unit, and functional testing
Experience developing, profiling, and troubleshooting Java application code and automated testing tools
Knowledge and experience in EFK, Kakfa, AWS Cloud environments, docker containers
Experience in containerization of Springboot microservices
Financial Services or banking industry experience preferred

Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos + Virtual
Reporting Line: Chief Technology Officer

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to manage the technical projects, incumbent will partner lwith eadership, production and technical teams to develop product roadmaps and ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

Create user stories & acceptance criteria
Translate business requirements into technical requirements
Partner with leadership, production and technical teams to develop product roadmaps.
Backlog management, iteration, planning, and elaboration of the user stories
Participate in the technical design, and the development of functional specifications
Lead the development team
Ensure clean and well-documented code
Manage the project to ensure successful delivery
Track and report project progress
Manage communication with all stakeholders
Remove blockers, manage risks to help team deliver on the company's goals and objectives

The Ideal Person
The Ideal candidate must have;

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Leadership experience and strong teaming abilities
Minimum 2 Years of experience in IT project management or a related field.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Solid understanding of software development life-cycle best practices
An ability to drive to big picture goals and milestones while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to detail
Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills, fluent in English
