We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Safety Officer

Locations: Wasimi, Ewekoro, Abeokuta - Ogun, Lagos, and Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, standards, and procedures across all operational sites.
• Conduct safety inductions and regular toolbox talks for drivers, workshop staff, and other employees.
• Work closely with operations to ensure driver compliance with road safety standards.
• Liaise with external regulators, clients, and partners on safety matters.
• Maintain records of safety incidents, inspections, and compliance audits.
• Train staff and drivers on defensive driving, fire safety, first aid, and emergency response.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen Ecologique’s safety culture.
• Carry out daily inspections of trucks and work environments to ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, documenting findings and corrective measures.
• Ensure compliance with Lafarge, NBC, and other client safety requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian safety regulations and road traffic rules.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Strong interpersonal and training facilitation abilities.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in safety management within logistics, manufacturing, or transport sector.
• Professional HSE certification (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
