Atlas Copco Nigeria has been established since 2009 with offices in Lagos and Port Harcourt. The Customer Center employs around 50 people and represents two Business Areas - Compressor Technique and Power Technique.

Atlas Copco is an OEM in the emerging Alternative Energy Space. We Design, Supply, Install, Service, and Maintain, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Fueling systems. We have a network of customer throughout the nation that we offer technical support to.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Sales Engineer, Service

Location: Lagos

Your Role

  • As a Service Sales Engineer, your mission is to drive sales growth for our service business by leveraging your technical expertise and understanding of customer needs.
  • Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will work closely with the engineering and service product teams to implement effective service sales strategies.

Responsibilities
You will:

  • Plan and prioritize service sales activities and customer interactions to achieve business targets.
  • Collaborate with the service aftermarket team to provide exceptional after-sales service, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and report on service sales activities, keeping the CRM updated with customer visit reports, opportunities, and quotation statuses.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities that maximize customer relationships and business outcomes.
  • Analyze market trends and provide management with accurate information on pricing, competitive activities, and regional issues.
  • Prepare and propose service product offerings, calculating sales prices using the company's discount strategy and quoting tools.

Requirements
To succeed, you will need:

  • A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ proven sales experience, ideally within engineering, technical products & service, capital goods, or construction equipment sectors.
  • Proficiency in CRM software.
  • A willingness to travel extensively as part of the role.
  • A clean driving license, ensuring mobility during travels.
  • Commitment to uphold organizational, ethical, and social values across all business dealings.
  • Ability to persuade, convince, and impress key stakeholders to facilitate desired outcomes.
  • Flexibility in negotiations while remaining focused on achieving results.
  • Knowledge or application experience in compressed air solutions.
  • Willingness to enhance knowledge and expertise continually.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and display team-oriented behavior.
