Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• To perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing all Tomsey’s projects including construction and maintenance of building structures and facilities.

Job Description

• Manage and direct the construction, operations, or maintenance activities at the project site
• Inspect and oversee all project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards to meet client’s requirements
• Test and compute characteristics of materials or structures, load and grade requirements, water flow rates, or material stress factors to determine design specifications
• Design systems to reduce harmful emissions
• Market the company's competencies and expand the company’s client base especially in Engineering and technical services using all company’s provided resources (Newspapers, Federal tender journals, NIPEX Adverts) to bring in high yielded businesses
• Prepare all technical bid packages and proposals in areas of Engineering, construction
• Establish a well enhanced and profitable project management system
• Develop, implement and maintain project management structure for Tomsey
• Provide technical advice to industrial or managerial personnel regarding design, construction, or program modifications, or structural repairs
• Test soils or materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel
• Estimate technical or resource requirements for development or production projects
• Recommend technical design or process changes to improve efficiency, quality, or performance

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 - 6 years cognate experience in a similar industry
• HSE Certification is an added advantage
• MBA or Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) in Engineering
• Professional membership of a relevant body in the Oil & Gas or Engineering industry

Technical Competencies:

• Computer literacy (including intermediate or advanced command of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
• Knowledge of Engineering and Engineering Materials
• Knowledge of company products and services

Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 monthly.
