Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safety of others within the work environment.
• Follow and adhere to all SCJ and Local Environmental, Health and Safety procedures and is duty bound to stop unsafe acts and report unsafe practices.
• Ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained in the plant and conform to SCJ SHE standards.
• Ensure plant and equipment are maintained as per the Global requirements.
• Control Supply Chain budget.
• Maintain and enforce effective financial and internal controls in order to achieve zero audit findings.
• Full compliance with Government Regulations and Corporate Policies.
• Assist and support maintenance programmes to ensure increased asset reliability.
• Develop a sense of belonging by creating a workplace that encourages high involvement and maximises the capabilities of teams and individuals.
• Train and lead the department in continuous improvement efforts to reduce set-up times and improve quality goals.
• Ensure and maintain a stable industrial relations climate within the Supply Chain.
• Create an environment of continuous improvement through empowerment, education and training.
• Ensure the efficient operation of the Production departments.
• Optimise manufacturing processes, productivity and purchasing efficiencies to achieve company targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) in the areas of production scheduling, product costs, quality, inventory levels, factory costs and efficiencies.

Experience you will bring

• Minimum of a B.Tech in Production Management or Engineering, a BSc Degree preferably in Production, Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• Proven record of operational success or related business success.
• Above-average computer literacy.
• Minimum of 5 years’ plant experience in an FMCG environment. Preferably Aerosol manufacturing.
