Job Title: Startup Advisor

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment type: Contract

Job Description

• Our Team is in the operational phase of an amazing project and is on the lookout for business smart executives as Startup Advisors who will actively work with Startups in our Accelerator program to coach them in achieving their key performance indicators before the demo day.
• The Advisor should be an expert in either of the following below:
  • Technology(Developer)
  • Product Manager
  • Design Strategy
  • Business Development
• This position requires a candidate with a collaborative, positive attitude and a desire for continuous improvement.

Description of Responsibilities

Startup Advisory:

• Work with startups to fine-tune their business model and ensure product-market fit
• Support startups in sourcing for more customers and other required resources
• Work with any industry experts as may be required to achieve the startup's goal
• Provides QA support on startups engagement
• Meet with startups on weekly basis to track performance and set new weekly KPIs
• Review startups marketing materials and get involved in customer engagement

Work Schedule:

• The anticipated duration of the contract is 4 months, starting on the 10th May 2021
• The Ideal Person will work 5 hours per week.
• The Ideal Person will work remotely and responsible for using his/her own work tool.

Qualification

Education:

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies / Social Sciences or a relevant field.

Experience

• 3 years’ experience in a similar role or in working in a startup;
• Experience in mentoring or supporting startups; and
• Experience launching or working in a startup is desired.

Language:

• Excellent spoken and written English required.
