Purpose of Role

  • Maintain a safe working environment relating to all stores activities.
  • Undertake and ensure compliance with Diageo engineering stores processes.  This includes all activities from receipt of maintenance work orders (demand for spares or services), to preparation of Requisitions details, through to receipt of deliveries, whilst ensuring inventory is counts are complete and any missing's investigated.
  • Actively working with 3rd party/in-house MRO Procurement team to supporting optimisation of Engineering spares stock holding,
  • Maximise value generation through Procurement savings, and cost avoidance generated e.g. through Diageo inter stores transfers, refurbish rather than replace.

Top Accountabilities

  • Follow Diageo stores processes held in EQMS to ensure compliance with GAR & CARM requirements.  Remotely actively work with Diageo Stores network to identify process improvement activities.
  • Ensure that inventory and non-inventory items are receipted, stock reservations managed and kitted for planned maintenance activities to fulfil Diageo business needs.
  • Carry out stocktaking in accordance with Diageo processes, carry out investigations to support achievement of stock booking accuracy targets
  • Ensure Visual Management KPI and action boards are up to date with agreed Diageo stores performance measures, and actively participate in weekly performance and improvement review forums
  • Support standardisation of spares components linked to Capital Expenditure projects  
  • Ensure manual handling requirements are met.
  • Maintain high levels of 5S in stores to support achievement of H&S, environmental standards, and efficient stores layout and materials movements
  • Conduct inter stores transfers to improve Diageo/Market stock turn and aged stock profile
  • Work with maintenance teams on repair programme management
  • Work in partnership with external Procurement resource/integrator to achieve savings and cost avoidance targets (reverse engineering; consignment stock; consumables vendor managed inventory; decoupling spares from services contractors)
  • Work with other to ensure correct Purchase Requisition details in SAP maintenance work orders
  • Ensure engineering spares SAP material masters are maintained to Diageo standards (Naming convention, part numbers applied; Bill of Materials generated; no duplicate materials across storage locations; min/max level optimisation; annual (Q3) aged stock reviews; criticality analysis from maintenance teams applied to new parts)
  • Create and manage Purchase Information Records (PIR's) and Source Lists 
  • Ensure that inventory and non-inventory items within storage are protected from damage and loss in line with local and CARM directives.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Good understanding of stores operations
  • Competent in use of systems (EQMS, SAP, MS Office applications)
  • A solid appreciation of the segregation of duty requirements
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Positive team player with ability to work remotely with stores counterparts across Diageo sites
  •  N/A as a global standard.
