West African Soy Industries Limited (WASIL) operates one of the largest specialized oils and fats processing complexes in Africa. The manufacturing facility is located in Sagamu, Ogun State, Nigeria, with raw materials sourced from farmers in Kaduna, Katsina, Niger and other states across Nigeria.

The Company is active in the Soy value chain through its out-grower farming activities by providing high quality agri-inputs to farmers and procuring farm produce from them through off-take arrangements. We educate the farmers on Yield Enhancement Techniques (YET) to improve their crop yield, and train women on best practices in Shea collection and primary processing.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Talent & Development Officer

Location: Sagamu, Ogun

Job Description

• Create and place job ads on multiple channels to reach top talent
• Maintain a database of potential candidates for future job openings
• Create orientation and induction plans for new joiners
• Liaise with Pension Fund Administrators to register new accounts for new hires
• Liaise with registered hospitals for pre-employment medical report of new hires
• Maintain an up-to-date recruitment and new hire report
• Coordinate recruitment of interns (SIWES, NYSC, others)
• Collate TNA for all employees across the organisation to facilitate appropriate training plan for all employees
• Source for, screen and shortlist profiles for roles
• Managing internal recruitment framework
• Serving as go-between for candidates and hiring managers
• Collaborate with hiring managers to set qualification criteria
• Ensure adherence to approvals on manpower requisition forms throughout the recruitment process
• Identify and recommend learning and development tools/formats tailored to address the specific and generic needs of staff organisation-wide
• Assist in developing, implementing and managing a talent management framework for the company
• Assist in developing and implementing succession management programs 
• Ensure compliance with the ITF re-imbursement programs
• Responsible for ITF re-imbursement filings
• Coordinates training programs within and outside the organization.
• Prepare activity report for the attention of the Unit Head
• Adhere to the requirements of FSSC, Feed Safety, GMP and QMS as it relates to your job function.
• Provide employee data analytics services for the company
• Provide input as applicable in the creation, review and implementation of HR policies and procedures
• Carries out skill gap/training need analysis across various departments on a yearly basis.
• Creates the training calendar for the year.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of HND / BSc in a relevant field
• HR certification (CIPM, PHRi, GHRi) is an added advantage.
• Must be experienced in L&D management.
• Must be familiar with ITF re-imbursement programme.
• Must be experienced in managing and working with key leaderships.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in HR practice.
• Must be experienced in talent management.
