Textile Technologist in a Textile Company based in Lagos

MyStaff Consulting Limited - Our client in the Textile Industry is looking to recruit suitable candidates to fill the position below:

 

 

Job Title: Textile Technologist

Location: Iganmu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The textile technologist will work with a variety of materials including man-made and natural textiles. They may be responsible for developing fabrics for clothing, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with and providing technical advice to design, marketing, purchasing, and production staff.
  • Creating products in response to given briefs.
  • Amending designs where necessary
  • Ensuring that products meet set requirements and specifications.
  • Controlling production and quality standards.
  • Dealing with customers' queries and complaints.
  • Keeping up to date with trends and innovations.
  • Producing samples
  • Dyeing and printing textiles
  • Evaluating, identifying, and selecting fabrics/products from suppliers.

Qualifications
Education:

  • B.Sc in Textile Technology

Experience:

  • 2-3 years in the textile industry

Skills:

  • Creativity,
  • Good knowledge of fabric and materials,
  • Interpersonal skills,
  • Good team spirit.
