We are recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: Logistics Officer Location: Lagos Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage logistics operations and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of mails & parcels;
• Identify business opportunities and target markets
• Make initial customer contact through visits or calls
• Ensure effective commodity management and quality control;
• Ensure adequate logistics preparedness through contingency planning and continuous logistics preparedness reviews;
• Co-ordinate logistics operations with other organisations in the area;
• Support logistics staff in other offices;
• Supervise staff as required;
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Identify each potential customer’s needs
• Formulate business proposals according to customers’ business needs
• Negotiate prices and variations in prices and specifications
• Co-ordinate and provide logistics support to ongoing air, land, sea or rail operations in the area;
• Establish reports based on logistics movements and distribute them according to requirements;
• Identify, mobilise resources, implement and report on special logistics operations;
• Ensure that accurate and complete accounting, reporting and internal control systems are functioning and that all relevant records are maintained;
