The Maryland Global Initiatives Corporation (MGIC) Nigeria, an affiliate of the University of Maryland Baltimore, is a Non-Governmental Organization funded by the U.S Government through the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position below:
Job Title: Program Driver
Location: Across Six Geographical Zone
Duration: Six Months with the possibility of renewal subject the availability of funds
Job Description
- The Organization is seeking qualified candidates to work on its recent award on “the Nigeria Indicator and Impact Survey (NAIlS), a Population-based HIV Impact Assessment (PHIA) Survey that was developed to enable countries obtain HIV-specific indicators, including the impact of the expansion of HIV prevention and treatment programs to facilitate effective monitoring of national HIV programs
Functions and Duties
To drive Organizational Vehicle assigned to him/her for official purpose to help toward achieving organizational goals:
- To ensure delivery of important documents to required destination as assigned by supervisor or designee.
- To ensure that vehicles assigned are kept clean and Maintained at all time
- To perform preventive and regular maintenance on assigned vehicle as specified by organizational policy.
To maintain Vehicle log sheet and Monthly vehicle report:
- Check oil and tyres properly and keep the service vehicles in clean condition, both inside and outside
- Keep track of timely car insurance renewals
- Update monthly mileage records
- Maintain log book of each service vehicle on daily basis
- Facilitate airport pickups for VIP visitors and transportation during official visits
- Schedule annual vehicle examination for service vehicles with the Transportation Department and apply for the renewal for the vehicle license
- Determine when and what kind of maintenance the vehicle needs, keep track of general maintenance
- Ensure sound running of the vehicles assigned and arrange minor repairs where necessary with supervisor approval.
Requirements
- Valid National driver’s license
- Know how to write and speak are required
- The fleet driver must have strong sense of right and wrong with mindset of excellence,
- Level minded with ability to make decision quickly and sensibly in dire straits interpret figures and spot trends,
- Excellent communication skills and good personal hygiene
