Network Administrator Requirements, Skills & Qualifications

The following common skills and qualifications are required of a Network Administrator:

BSc. degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field
Previous working experience as a Network Administrator for (x) year(s)
Any additional relevant certification (Juniper, Cisco, CWNA or BCNE) will be considered an advantage
Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Analytical thinker and problem solver
In depth knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
Applicable experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
Attention to details
