Our Client, a Leading player the in the Financial Service Sector located in Abuja requires the service of a Senior Accountant to provide critical support and manage the overall operational efficiency of their Accounting Service Delivery System.     Job Title: Senior Accountant Location: Abuja Responsibilities The successful candidate(s) will be charged with the responsibility of performing the job function below:

• Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Ensure the compliance with the requirements of financial regulatory agencies by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
• Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
• Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Provides financial and investment information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.
• Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
• Provide expert assistance to the Human Resource Department on payroll matters.
• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
• Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
• Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Minimum 8 years relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting + MSc/MBA in Finance.
• ICAN, ACCA, ANAN or any related professional qualification would be an added advantage.
