General Ledger Accountant Requirements, Skills & Qualifications

The following common skills and qualifications are required of a General Ledger Accountant:

Degree in business/economics, finance, accounting or any other related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate preferred.
x years experience in general ledger accounting, or similar.
Proficiency in accounting and business management software, such as NetSuite and Zoho Books.
In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
Affinity to numbers
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively communicate in a written and oral way
Accurate working-method as well as the ability to meet deadlines
