Iconic Open University seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated academic staff member to join our distinguished faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, contributing to scholarly research, and participating in service activities within the university and the broader community.
 

Responsibilities

1. Teaching and Instruction:
   • Develop and deliver engaging course materials for undergraduate and/or graduate programmes.
   • Utilize innovative teaching methods and technologies to enhance student learning.
   • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
   • Maintain office hours for student consultation and academic advising.
2. Research and Scholarship:
   • Conduct original research in your field or discipline.
   • Publish findings in reputable, peer-reviewed academic journals.
   • Seek and secure research funding through grants and other sources.
   • Present research at academic conferences and seminars.
3. Service and Outreach:
   • Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committees.
   • Engage in professional development activities.
   • Contribute to community outreach programs and initiatives.
   • Mentor and support the academic and professional growth of students and junior faculty members.

Qualifications

• A 1st Class/2nd Class Upper Bachelor's Degree, Good Master's Degree or Ph.D. from an accredited institution from disciplines of Arts, Management and Social Science, Computing Science, Allied Health Science (Nursing, Public Health), Medical Science, Education, Law, Mass Communication and others.
• Proven record of excellence in teaching at a college, polytechnic or university level.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct and publish high-quality research.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in academia.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with online and hybrid teaching formats.
• Established network within the academic and professional community.
• Previous involvement in successful grant writing and research funding.
• Active membership in relevant professional organizations.
