Account Officer at CET Power Projects Limited

CET Power is a leading operator in the captive/embedded power industry in Nigeria. It provides power to organizations with both mid-layered and industrial-scale operations requiring power either for short-term (EPP) or long-term (IPP), on an outsourced basis.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Demonstrate good knowledge of accounting principles, concepts, and conventions.
• Initiate and analyze payments, showing a clear understanding of classes of accounts and cost behaviours.
• Write journals, correct errors, and process other necessary adjustments.
• Maintain cash imprests and disbursements.
• Produce reports related to the above tasks.
• Carry out bank reconciliations and follow up on corrections of discrepancies.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Education: HND or B.Sc. in Accounting
• Professional Certification: Not required
• Minimum Experience: 2 years relevant experience

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Multitasking ability
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Painstaking and thorough in task execution

Professional Competencies:

• Solid understanding of accounting systems and standards

Other Competencies:

• Proficiency in computer use
• Ability to manage stakeholders
• Hands-on experience with Sage Pastel Evolution
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Salary
N260,000 - N315,000 monthly.
