We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Jamata Village - Lokoja LGA, Kogi
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including IFRS and Nigerian GAAP.
Develop and maintain financial models and spreadsheets to support financial planning and analysis.
Collaborate with other departments, including operations, logistics, sales, and marketing, Procurement, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and other financial reports.
Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Provide financial support to the management team, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Assist in the management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.

Qualifications / Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Up to 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG company.
Professional certification in accounting, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or in progress).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulations.
Experience with auditing and financial reporting
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Strong knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Experience with financial software, such as SAP, ERP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, is an Advantage.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
