We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Kano
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting:

• Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and tax laws.
• Develop and implement effective financial policies and internal controls.
• Maintain accurate financial records and oversee general ledger reconciliation.

Budgeting & Cost Control:

• Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with management.
• Monitor expenses, analyze cost structures, and recommend cost-saving measures.
• Ensure proper allocation of resources to optimize financial performance.

Payroll & Financial Operations:

• Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely salary payments.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Handle banking transactions, reconciliations, and financial documentation.

Advisory & Strategic Planning:

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Assist in financial decision-making, investment planning, and business growth strategies.
• Support funding initiatives and financial negotiations with stakeholders.

Taxation & Compliance:

• Ensure timely and accurate tax filing (VAT, PAYE, corporate tax, etc.) and statutory remittances.
• Liaise with tax authorities and regulatory agencies on financial matters.
• Stay updated on tax laws and financial policies to ensure compliance.

Audit & Risk Management:

• Conduct internal audits and support external audit processes.
• Identify financial risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
• Ensure financial transparency and accountability within the organization.

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should an HND, Bachelor's or Master's Degree with 3-10 years experience.

Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 / Month.
