Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Overview

  • The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the office and ongoing programs by performing various clerical and administrative duties.

Job Description
He/she shall work under the supervision of the Country Director to discharge the following responsibilities:

  • Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate personnel
  • Receive visitors and direct them to the appropriate person(s) or department(s)
  • Order and maintain office supplies and equipment
  • Provide general support to visitors and staff
  • Make travel arrangements and book meetings; arrange necessary local travel for visitors
  • Ensure management of petty cash
  • Maintain and order office supplies
  • Manage and organize departmental files, records, and databases
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings and appointments
  • Prepare and distribute correspondences, documents, and reports
  • Process departmental mails and packages
  • Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements
He/she:

  • Must be a First Degree holder in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, any other Social Science or its equivalent.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in an administrative support role with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and attention to details.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A First Degree holder from another background with at least 4 years of experience in an administrative support role in a reputable organization is also eligible to apply.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
