Houston Engineering & Marine Services Limited (HEMSL) is a wholly Nigerian owned company incorporated in September 2010 by a team from various engineering backgrounds and experiences with the aim of providing Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation & Commissioning Services (EPCIC) to the Onshore / Offshore and Subsea sectors of the Oil & Gas Industry. We are currently based strategically in the heart of the Niger Delta in Port Harcourt, Rivers State Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job type: Full-time (On-site)

Objective

• To identify profitable business opportunities and secure sound business deals.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned clients’ portals
• Timely and proper record keeping of statutory documents
• Participate, prepare, and package bids and tenders
• Advice on new systems or procedures that is beneficial to the company
• Develop and sustain solid relationships with company stakeholders, new and existing clients (by creating and improving proposals)
• Create customer feedback initiative and analyze data for customer satisfaction with our services
• Collaborate with company executives to implement marketing strategies and new opportunities
• Read publications and attend seminars on industry trends to aid in keeping ahead of the competition
• Develop, visit and pitch ideas to potential investors
• Support workflow and make recommendations for streamlining or improving the process
• Determine target audiences to introduce new services offerings
• Help create and maintain a marketing plan for a new or existing service
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends in the industry
• Recommend marketing strategies for the purpose of enhancing company publicity/brand
