Job Title: Operations Finance Director - Nigeria

Position Overview

  • A successful Operational Finance Director is one who can create and execute a strong finance strategy within the Africa Organization Unit / Franchise to drive growth and profitability.

Function Related Activities / Key Responsibilities

  • Manager the Franchise’s P&L, including pro-actively managing risks & opportunities, providing predictability and to the extent possible, stability to the operation’s key financial performance metrics.
  • Partner with senior leaders and VP to manage the Franchise and / or Customer activities at the Franchise level, to drive alignment across multiple senior stakeholders, and to develop the key insights needed to inform strategic priorities, including:
  • Manage Senior franchise (bottler - Coca Cola Hellenic) and customer relationships
  • Gain insights and brainstorm with customers / Bottlers on business issues; Prepare & support internal stakeholders on on-going negotiations.
  • Manage all Business Models and Margins within the OU / Franchise, including:
  • Strategic thinking on business models optimization and system top line growth
  • Assessment and segmentation by market  
  • Support Mergers & Acquisitions and Revenue growth Management
  • Analyze and Execute Working Capital and Cash Management

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

Related Work Experience:

  • >10 years of leadership experience in senior financial planning or commercial finance roles
  • Extensive leadership and management experience, with ability to work in a diverse cultural environment as a highly efficient communicator and influencer at all levels
  • Strong Project Management skills

Job Title: Customer Senior Manager, Nigeria

Job Description Summary
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, design and implement integrated short and mid-term strategies for Global and Regional Customers in the Franchise Unit to accelerate customer-back, consumer-centric programing and thus accelerate incidence-, NSR- and Margin growth with these Customers by bringing in the “voice of the customer” into our TCCC program design early and thus maximize relevance and execution at the POP/ “shop floor”
  • Key Objective is to accelerate our TCCS basket incidence with Customers and accelerate sustainable topline NSR- and Margin growth
  • Key Deliverables are: Customer-relevant occasion and portfolio development plans, defining shopper relevant category bundles and mechanics, an impactful calendar of activation that ties in with our customers’ activation cycles, briefing marketing accordingly for communications requirements and in outlet experiential requirements, as well as aligning execution requirements with Commercial Execution, country operations and bottler(s). This is inclusive of Revenue pools/ Targeting of occasions, shopper types, bold OBBPC approaches to drive the right assortment, SKU optimization, innovation, value to market playbooks, price terms and conditions and promo mechanics and –spends, wiring RGM 2.0 applications and implications into business plans to drive RGM/RTM linked capability with Global and Regional Customers
  • Ownership of channel and customer metrics and analyses as well as agreement compliance, channel coherency and advanced analytic based approaches for leading edge category planning and customer negotiation
  • The roles require good customer understanding as well strong leadership and accountability to influence our cross-functional system teams towards consumer- and customer-relevant plans that drive revenue and profit growth with a sustainable long-term competitive advantage
  • Implement plans to unlock growth opportunities with channels, focused on occasion development, trip conversion and outlet expansion opportunities as well as portfolio expansion opportunities.
  • Drives disciplined implementation of the channel, purchase mode playbooks.
  • Build calendar of activation, brief marketing for communications requirements, co-develop channel development plans with bottlers, support priority key customer relationships with tailored activations when necessary.
  • Deploy Commercial Beverages category vision and ensure consistency of value propositions with defined priority roles of the channel (e.g. recruitment, trial, frequency) with bottlers and customers.
  • Co-develop channel development business plan with bottlers, including brand and package portfolio priorities and activation plans.  Responsible for basing development plans in channel opportunity mapping.
  • Support priority key customer relationships with tailored activations when necessary
  • Manage customer specific DME as well as DME allocated to perform the work in scope.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

Related Work Experience:

  • 6-8 years of leadership experience in customer, commercial, operational marketing.
  • Strong planning and collaboration skills
  • Strong customer understanding from an execution perspective

Position Overview:

  • The Director of Business Development will support The VP Business Development Africa Operating Unit (AOU)and partner with Franchise General Managers and General Manager CHI Africa Operating unit (AOU) in leading development and execution of the transformational initiatives that will ultimately deliver on the ambition of providing the first African Billion Dollar Dairy brand from CHI Nigeria, the recently acquired end to end Dairy and Juice Business.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities
The role is:

  • Part of the leadership team of the Vice- President Business Development, Africa focused on transformation in the operating unit in alignment with the franchise general managers and our bottling partners. Some of this work will include
  • Strengthening out bottling partnership and capabilities in Africa
  • Creating an Africa strategy, including supply chain and execution fundamentals
  • Develop, align and execute strategy for System Bottling Structure in Region to develop a world class Bottling system.
  • Responsible for overall management of acquisition and bottling partnership change transactions
  • Commercial / Franchise Management, Marketing and Strategy skills to deliver full potential plans for new and existing partners in markets and categories
  • Provide critical commercial and business analyses which enable leadership decision making incl. merger and acquisition strategy for the Region.

Education Requirements

  • Graduate Degree
  • 12+ years of experience in the areas of Business Management, Franchise Management, Commercial, Marketing, Strategy and Execution
  • Business development, strategic business planning areas in FMCG or Consultancy Companies; M&A.

  • Oversee the implementation of the Operating Unit Revenue Growth Management and Winning at the Point of Sale strategies at the Franchise Unit by applying the corresponding playbooks and leveraging global/regional tools. Ensures consistency with the OU frameworks and priorities while adjusting to the local reality.
  • Provide full support to the General Managers and other Franchise Leadership positions in their interactions with the Bottling System related to the referred Commercial Capabilities.
  • Shapes System Revenue and Margin through Revenue Growth Management and OBPPC levers as he/she lands the Commercial Strategy for the Franchise Unit.
  • Supervise the implementation of all the relevant channels aligned with the Operating Unit channel strategies and recommendations. Implement Prospection, and Market Assets frameworks. Collaborates with the implementation of Value to Market initiatives.
  • Oversee the development & implementation of short- and long-range joint business plans with Key Regional Accounts across (retail and on-premise Revenues that are comprehensive, realistic and aligned with broader Company and Operating Unit plans, as well as with the Customer’s plans in the geography. For this purpose, Customer Value Proposition playbooks and recommendations should be applied
  • Coordinate the System to effectively serve key accounts and ensure high levels of partnership and satisfaction.
  • Help secure resources necessary to locally address, generate and implement value-creating solutions that meets customer and bottlers needs and drive beverage category’s incidence, profit and volume.
  • Support any and all transverse strategic initiatives for the Franchise Unit (Digital Transformation or New Revenue Streams or Still 2.0 Growth Engine) with a multi-geography, multi-functional team partnership
