We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cashier (Supermarket / Fast Food)

Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

Accurately handle cash and electronic payments for purchases
Operate POS systems to process transactions efficiently.
Properly bag and pack purchased items
Process returns and exchanges following store policies and procedures.
Effective at managing multiple tasks during busy periods.
Calm and composed under pressure, especially during peak shopping times.
Honest, trustworthy, and responsible when handling cash.
Basic understanding of supermarket products and their locations.
Ability to handle customer complaints or issues with professionalism.
Physical Stamina.
Reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure all transactions are accurate.
Keep the cashier area clean and organized
Provide customers with receipts and explain return policies as needed.
Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Accurately take customer orders
Suggest additional items or combo meals to increase sales and enhance the customer experience.
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Strong math skills
Friendly and attentive to customer needs and inquiries.
Good verbal communication skills
Proficiency in operating point-of-sale systems
