BUA Cement Plc is the result of a merger between CCNN Plc and Obu Cement Company Plc (formerly Obu Cement Company Limited). Cement Company of Northern Nigeria (CCNN) was incorporated in 1962 and commenced operations in 1967, with an installed capacity of 100,000 mtpa at Kalambaina, Sokoto State.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chemist / Senior Chemist

Location: BUA Cement Sokoto/Edo Plants
Job type: Full-time
Internal Customers: Production Units, Quarry, Packing Units
Reports to: Chief Chemist

Job Overview

• To ensure proper testing of all physical and chemical parameters of raw materials, intermediate and finished products in accordance with Nigerian Industrial Standard, NIS.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To Supervise Chemical and Physical testing of raw materials, intermediate and finished product in accordance with the NIS.
• To effectively monitor and instruct on necessary measures to ensure good quality of intermediate and finished product in accordance with NIS.
• To effectively Supervise building of raw materials stockpiles with a view to controlling raw meal and Kiln feed Chemistry.
• To update and preserve all test records.

Requirements

• B.Sc / B.Engineering Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry /Physics/Other natural Sciences
• 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience of working in a cement plant laboratory at a managerial level.
